Hensley Field Nearing Completion

Hensley Field is nearing completion of what will be a great multi-sport, multi-user facility where athletics will be joined by football, rugby and other sports. Whilst recent bursts of rain slowed things down a bit, it did provided us with the opportunity to confirm the accuracy of all the finished levels for the surfaces. Pictured blow in a view from the newly revamped grandstand is the synthetic pitch being layed over what’s called the “shock pad”. The shock pad is made of rubber and the rubber comes from 57,000 old tyres. A great environmental outcome.
